For the personal data we process on this website, Blackfoot is the data controller. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office and process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information you give us

When you complete our contact form or otherwise get in touch, we collect the details you provide, which may include:

• your name and work email address;
• your phone number, company name, industry, and company size;
• the services you’re interested in and your desired timeline;
• the content of your message; and
• whether you have opted in to receive marketing emails.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the site we may collect:

• your IP address and basic device, browser, and operating-system information;
• the pages you view and links you click, collected through Google Analytics and only once you accept analytics cookies (until then, analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device);
• campaign attribution (UTM tags and any Google click identifier) from the link that brought you here, held first-party for your session so that, if you send us an enquiry, we can see which campaign it came from;
• the organisation you appear to be visiting from, identified by Apollo.io from your IP address, together with the pages you view, and only once you accept marketing cookies. This tells us that someone at a company looked at particular services; it does not identify you personally.

How and why we use your information

We use personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you ask for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and, where relevant, taking steps to enter into a contract with you;
• send you marketing emails about our security insights and services, where you have opted in. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us;
• understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Our lawful basis is your consent to analytics cookies;
• keep the site secure and free from spam, including the bot-detection check on our contact form. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our website and users;
• see which organisations are interested in our services, so our team can follow up with businesses that may be a fit. Our lawful basis is your consent to marketing cookies, and our legitimate interest in developing our business.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run this website, each acting on our instructions under a contract:

• Salesforce: our customer relationship management system, which receives and stores enquiries submitted through the contact form;
• Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the website and provides the Turnstile spam-protection check on our form;
• Google, which provides Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies;
• Apollo.io, which identifies the organisation a visit comes from and records the pages viewed, if you accept marketing cookies.

We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred abroad, we rely on an adequacy decision (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your information remains protected.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer-relationship information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, after which we review and delete it when it is no longer needed. Marketing information is kept until you opt out. Analytics information is retained for a limited period in line with our Google Analytics settings.

How we protect it

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including transport encryption, access controls limited to those with a business need, and multi-factor authentication on the systems we use.

Your rights
